Connecting your first tool is the moment Vivacity comes to life. Here’s how, and what happens next.

Which tool should I connect first?

Pick the one that best reflects how your business makes money:

Run an online store?

Start with Shopify, WooCommerce or BigCommerce - orders, products and customers.

Service or B2B?

Start with your CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce) or accounting (Xero, QuickBooks).

Spend on ads?

Add Meta Ads or Google Ads to see spend against results.

Live in your inbox?

Connect Gmail or Outlook so Vivacity can help with customer email.

Connect it

1

Open Connectors

Go to Settings → Connectors. Connectors are grouped by category - Ecommerce, Advertising, CRM, Finance and more.
2

Choose your tool and select Connect

Find your tool and select Connect. Each tool has its own help page with exact steps - see the connector library.
3

Authorise read-only access

You’ll either sign in to the tool (OAuth) or paste an API key. Vivacity requests read-only access and stores credentials encrypted.
4

Choose what to share, then confirm

Pick the store, account or property to sync and confirm.

What happens during the first sync

  • Vivacity reads your recent history to build a baseline (a few minutes for most accounts; large histories take longer).
  • You’ll see a Connected badge, then a notification when your first briefing is ready.
  • Nothing is changed in your tool - this is a read.
Some connectors show a Manual fallback state. That means a direct connection isn’t available yet, and you can import the data manually (for example via a Google Sheet) until it is.

Troubleshooting the first connection

Allow pop-ups for Vivacity and try again. Make sure you’re logged in to the right account with admin rights.
The first sync may still be running. Give it a few minutes; see Data & sync.
